This cozy Log Cabin with loft-bedroom is the perfect mountain vacation rental to comfortably enjoy the wonders of the deep woods in East Tennessee. Cupids Cove is a fully-furnished rental right next to the Cherokee National Forest and minutes from creeks, waterfalls, hiking trails, and a myriad of other outdoor activites. A christian camp is nearby, as well as services catering to those who want horseback riding, whitewater rafting, kayaking, and mountain climbing.
And don't forget your mountain bike. There's plenty of adventure in your own backyard! You can also go fishing, hunting, cave exploring, gold panning, or just stay home on the front porch or deck surfing the web on your laptop computer or simply enjoying the evening crickets and frogs.
Features & AmenitiesCupid's Cove is ideal for your honeymoon, writing, or private mountain retreat getaway. Completely renovated in 2002, the Cove features all new furniture, deck, balcony, hot tub, kitchen and bathroom appliances/cabinets, and other improvements. Wireless DSL is available as of March, 2008. This log cabin's master bedroom is an upstairs loft, and extra guests may sue the sleeper sofa downstairs. It is designed for two people comfortably, but can sleep up to 4. The bathroom and kitchen are both fully-equipped. The main room has an open wood-burning stove, with electric and propane heat as a backup.
Upstairs, the comfortable bedroom loft opens to a private balcony and fantastic view of the Unicoi Mountains and Cherokee National Forest. The screened front porch protects from bugs in the summer, and the new 10' x 24' deck (with hot-tub spa) overlooks the National Forest and an outdoor grill and a council fire area that's perfect for gathering around and telling ghost stories on those cool autumn evenings. Rental Rates
Cupid's Cove is normally reserved by the week (6 or 7 nights, with a maximum guest occupancy of 4 guests. Short stays (i.e., less than a week) can be booked during regular and off-seasons any time. Peak dates, however, can only be booked within 30 days of arrival to give priority to weekly visitors. Peak times are given below and include most holidays, the month of October, and Fri-Sun nights during the summer season. CLICK HERE for an explanation of fees and policies.

Tennessee sales (9.25%) and lodging taxes (5%) added, and for stays of less than 6 nights, there is a $50 cleaning fee added. There is also a $75 pet fee for a small cat or dog. **Nightly or short stays of less than 6 nights are allowed any time during the regular and off-seasons. Minimum stay required: 2 nights (except for Saturday arrivals in summer when the minimum stay is 6 nights). During Peak times weekly guests are given first priority. If your dates are still open, you will be allowed to book any peak dates starting 30 days of check-in. Cupid's Cove can be found in Coker Creek near the Tennessee/North Carolina border and the Cherokee National Forest. To get there, check out the directions from your nearest city:
From Atlanta From Knoxville From Chattanooga From Asheville or Murphy, NC From Atlanta, GA:
Take I-75 North out of Atlanta, then I-575 East through Ellijay to Blue Ridge. At Blue Ridge take a left onto Georgia 5 to McCaysville. Go about 10 miles, through McCaysville, then cross the bridge and take a left on Tennessee Highway 68 North. Travel TN 68 North about 13 miles (through Copper Hill and Ducktown) to a fork in the road. Take TN 68 N (left fork) towards Tellico Plains and continue for about 14-15 miles (past Coker Creek Village and White's Mining Supplies) until you see the County Road 610 sign. Turn right and go about a mile until you see a turn-off to a dirt and gravel road with signs (Old Doc Rogers Rd and "Davis"). Follow this road about a mile "over the river and through the woods" directed by the signs to Cupid's Cove. Specific directions will be given after booking and confirmation.From Knoxville, TN
Once on Interstate 75 between Chattanooga and Knoxville, travel to Exit 60, Sweetwater. Take Exit 60. At the end of the ramp turn onto Tennessee Highway 68 South and take Hwy 68 South for 35 miles, passing through Sweetwater (2 traffic lights), Madisonville (one traffic light), and Tellico Plains (no traffic lights). After you pass Tellico Plains continue on Hwy 68 South up the mountain about 8 miles, watching for County Road 610 on the left after mile marker 33. Go about a mile, then turn right onto Old Doc Rogers Road where you see that and the "Davis" sign. Follow this dirt and gravel road about a mile "over the river and through the woods" directed by the signs to Cupid's Cove. From Chattanooga, TN
Travel Interstate 75 towards Knoxville and take a right at the Cleveland Exit onto Highway 64. Drive though Parksville and along the Ocoee River Scenic Byway for about 30 miles until you get to Ducktown, TN. Turn left onto Highway 68 North. Travel about 9-10 miles until you get to the 68/123 fork in the road; take the left fork, continuing along Hwy 68 for about another 14-15 miles (past Coker Creek Village and White's Mining Supplies) until you see the County Road 610 sign. Turn right and go about a mile Follow this road about a mile "over the river and through the woods" directed by the signs to Cupid's Cove. Alternate Directions: You might also choose to travel further north from Chattanooga on I-75 to the Sweetwater Exit 60 and follow the directions from Knoxville from that point. It's longer, but easier, less winding, and along more interstate.From Asheville/Murphy, NC or Greenville, SC
Get a map and find your way to Murphy, in SW North Carolina. From Murphy, take 64/74 West about 8 miles to Hwy 294. Turn right and follow the road to the Tennessee border where it becomes TN Hwy 123. Go about a mile, then look for the sign to Hwy 68 and Tellico Plains. Turn right at 68 and the old service station and travel about 14-15 miles (past Coker Creek Village and White's Mining Supplies) until you see the County Road 610 sign. Turn right and go about a mile until you see a turn-off to a dirt and gravel road with signs (Old Doc Rogers Rd and "Davis").
